Mel
Hi there! I'm Mel and I have experience working as a pharmacist in Community, Hospital and General Practice settings, and as a Credentialed Diabetes Educator.
I enjoy contributing to patient-centred care through patient-focused interventions and education. Also working as a Home Medicine Review pharmacist, I strive to provide a high level of service to support patients through high-risk transitions of care, aiming to minimise hospital readmission.
I have additional extensive experience in the recruitment space, such as cover letter, resume and selection criteria reviews and feedback, along with interview preparation and coaching to ensure you have the very best chance of getting that job you really want!
Please reach out to connect with me if you feel that I could assist in any of these areas.

"I had wonderful interview coaching sessions with Mel who has extensive hospital practice experience and clinical knowledge. Definitely the go to guru! And at a reasonable price as well!" Vickie
"In Mel I found a truly great mentor, one who provided incredible insight into the job application process, providing detailed feedback which enabled me to get the role I applied for!" Sarah
"Many thanks for the mentoring session and providing constructive feedback for me to improve my resume and interview approach. I have previously applied with no success, however I was able to move to the interview stage, and am awaiting a final decision from the panel about the successful applicant for the job." Kellie
"Mel has been an excellent guide, providing honest feedback and open conversations about areas of improvement. I felt very comfortable very quickly in our mentoring sessions which helped me take onboard the information and improve the way I went about the interview process." Jenna
"Success! After a number of applications and not once reaching the interview stage, I sought Mel's assistance to see where I could improve. After a couple of sessions, I was feeling much more confident, revamped my resume and had a structured approach going into the interview. Needless to say the process was much less stressful than previously and I felt like I knew what I was going into - with it ending in an offer of my dream job! Thank you!" Ivan
"Thank you for all of your support in the general mentoring session you provided on career pathways and development. Feeling lost in the professional world and unsure of where I wanted to go in Pharmacy (or leave the profession altogether), after our discussion I had much more clarity and optimism around the various career pathways for pharmacists, some of which I had never heard of. Now I feel like I do have a way to move forward and a number of opportunities and it was so good to talk to someone who was working in a novel role and had on the ground experience." Nicole
"I had recently been appointed to a role and wasn't feeling confident with what I was doing. I had not been provided much training so sought mentoring assistance to help me upskill so I felt confident within the role. My mentoring session gave me the basic tools and skills, along with improved confidence upon which to further build additional skills within the hospital space. It was great to speak to someone who worked in this area and came from the same background as I did who could offer lots of practical tips." James
"I have never had or thought I needed professional mentoring before, but boy was I wrong! After a number of unsuccessful job applications to transition into a hospital role, I approached Mel for guidance. There was so much I didn't know about hospital roles, the application process and how a general interview panel works. I had a number of mentoring sessions in preparation for my application and these culminated in me being offered the role! I am so excited to start and couldn't be more grateful for the insights I gained from Mel. I strongly encourage anyone that was on the fence like I was to consider professional mentoring, you never know what you will walk away with in the end but I can guarantee it will be positive." Shaf
"I approached Mel for a resume review given I hadn't updated mine in a very long time. The advice and suggestions I gained was invaluable for me - Mel really understood the role and brief well and provided tailored advice to the job I was applying for." Nancy
"My mentoring session with Mel really helped me with issues I was having which related to my workload and prioritising my day. The session was very inspiring and uplifting and I was also able to practice my graded assertiveness skills/use of techniques in a friendly, non-judgemental environment." Kiah
"I found my mentoring session very useful. I didn't know what to expect at the start but the conversation started to flow and I began to open up. I felt like we only scratched the surface and certainly plan to book another session soon. Mel was such a calming influence and I left the session with a much clearer view of where I was headed in my career." Omar
"My mentoring session was an excellent step towards enabling me to reach my full potential. The advice I received from Mel was a significant contributory factor to attaining my last promotion. I couldn't be more thankful!" Jai
